Denver--The Award Winning feature film, “The Goal,” produced by
Film It Productions (www.film-itproductions.com) has done well
in the United States since it was picked up for Worldwide
distribution through Maverick Entertainment and is now starting
to gain recognition throughout the world. The Colorado made
independent family film has recently gained distribution in
several countries including Taiwan, South Africa, and Canada.
Negotiations are also underway for distribution in China.
“The Goal” chronicles the lives of two athletes who are on an
adrenaline track, one to the Olympics and the other to the world
of Pro Soccer. Steve and Jason cross paths while rebuilding
their lives following severe accidents. They find hope through
the sport of Quad Rugby.
Darla Rae, the film’s writer, director, and executive producer,
was inspired to create “The Goal” when a friend’s son was
injured. She watched how old friends left and new friendships
were built. “I really saw how strong family was, and how much
they relied on their faith in God, and the miracles that were
revealed. I want people to be encouraged and uplifted by their
stories,” said Rae.
“The Goal” truly is an inspirational family film. It has won
several awards including the Golden Ten Award at the Mumbai
International Film Festival in the Sports-Based Feature Film
Category, which is one of the festival’s highest honors.
“The Goal” also received four
“doves” from The Dove Foundation. The Dove Foundation was
created to identify movies that are family friendly. For more
